Oriental Cuisines to open 300 outlets by mid-2015
Oriental Cuisines, promoters of several restaurant chains, is planning to open 300 outlets across the country by mid-2015.
The company has lined up to open 200 Oriental Cuisine outlets and 100 bakery retail points under the brand 'The French Loaf'.
Oriental Cuisines currently operates over 100 outlets under Benjarong, Teppan, Ente Keralam, China Town, Zara Tapas Bar, The French Loaf, Le Chocolatier, Wangs Kitchen, Planet Yumm, Kebab House and Hotel Oriental Inn.
The company also eyes registering turnover of Rs 150 crore in the current financial year compared to Rs 110 crore registered last year, Oriental Cuisines, Chief Executive Officer, Narendra S Malhotra said.
"We are looking at opening 100 French Loaf outlets and 200 Oriental Cuisine outlets by mid-2015...," he told reporters here, after inaugurating the 50th French Loaf outlet.
In 2013 alone, under French Loaf brand, Malhotra said, they planned to open 25 more outlets. The company has been growing at a 30 per cent CAGR, he said, adding that they would also look at opening shops in Mumbai and New Delhi under the expansion plan.
Responding to a query, he said, the flagship group company French Loaf contributes 27 per cent revenues to the group's total revenues.
