Oberoi Hotels to open luxury resort in Saudi Arabia’s Wadi Safar in 2027

New Delhi: Oberoi Hotels & Resorts said on Monday that The Oberoi Sukoonvilas, Wadi Safar, a luxury resort currently under development in Wadi Safar, Saudi Arabia, is scheduled to welcome guests in the first quarter of 2027.

The chain said the property is located approximately 30 minutes from Riyadh and is close to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of At-Turaif in Diriyah, Wadi Safar. It will be the first hotel to open in Wadi Safar. Spread across more than 37 acres, the resort will feature 60 standalone villas and 10 branded residences.

Jerry Inzerillo, group CEO, Diriyah Company, said the opening of The Oberoi Sukoonvilas will mark an important “milestone” for Wadi Safar as the first hotel to welcome guests to the destination.

EIH Limited, the flagship company of The Oberoi Group, reported revenue from operations of Rs 657 crore for the first quarter, up from Rs 574 crore in the previous fiscal. The luxury chain reported a net profit of Rs 120 crore in the first quarter, up 224% year-on-year.

The chain reported total income of Rs 698 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal, up from Rs 609 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

On a standalone basis, the chain’s revenue grew 15% year-on-year to Rs 658 crore, EBITDA increased 7% to Rs 207 crore, and net profit stood at Rs 127 crore.
