magicpin-Rapido partner for food deliveries

magicpin and Rapido have entered into a partnership to take on the food delivery duopoly of Zomato and Swiggy, according to media reports and people familiar with the matter.

People familiar with the matter said magicpin will be plugging it’s nationwide restaurant network to Rapido owned food delivery platform Ownly. Mails and queries sent to the two companies didn't elicit a response.

Rapido, had launched its own food-delivery app, Ownly, in August 2025 with deliveries limited to select areas in Bengaluru.


As per media reports, Rapido's Ownly will get access to over 80,000 restaurants across the country, whereas magicpin will be able to leverage Rapido's delivery fleet in select locations.

magicpin claims to be third largest food delivery app in the country after Zomato and Swiggy. It had earlier powered food deliveries for apps like Paytm, Tata Neu and Ola to launch their food delivery verticals via the government promoted Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). The company claims to clock more than 1.5 lakh daily orders.

But the going may not be as easy. Zomato and Swiggy command a lion's share of the market and have strong brand recall. Food delivery remains a low-margin business, and balancing restaurateur concerns with delivery costs, discounts and offers and rider payouts can test viability.
