Kochi-based Infopark will soon have a star-rated international business class hotel in its premises

KOCHI: The Kochi-based Infopark will soon have a star-rated international business class hotel in its premises with state-of-the-art facilities for the benefit of top-level executives from India and abroad.

A lease agreement for developing the hotel in 97 cents of land inside the park was inked between Infopark and Brigade Group here on Wednesday. The lease agreement was initialed by Hrishikesh Nair, Chief Executive Officer of Infopark, and Vineet Varma, Executive Director (Hospitality Division) of Brigade Group.

“Through a published tender, Infopark has leased 97 cents of land to Brigade for 90 years. They will come up with a world class hotel in the park. The IT companies operating in the park would benefit from the project,” said Mr. Nair.

Mr. Varma said it would be a landmark project. “We will zero in on an international hotel brand for the project,” he added. “Over 130 companies are operating in the park and the hotel will cater to the needs of the clients and top-level executives of these companies. We see this opportunity as a long-term investment to grow our businesses here over the next few decades.” said Mr. Varma.
