JW Marriott to expand its India network to 100 hotels in 5 years
Betting big on India's economic expansion and the consequent escalating demand for hotels across various segments, the largest US hotel chain, Marriott International, plans to expand its network in India to 100 hotels over the next five-years.
At present, the group operates 11 properties across the country.
"We plan to expand our network to 100 hotels in India over the next five-years," Marriott International's Chief Operating Officer Arnie Sorenson told reporters here today.
Besides, Marriott International also plans to add 600 more hotels to its present global network of 3,400 by 2015, he said.
The group would be adding eight more hotels in India over the next three-years, Sorenson said.
These include two hotels in Mumbai and one each in Bhopal, Kochi, Nashik, Hyderabad, Jaipur and Raipur in various segments such as Courtyard, Renaissance and JW Marriott.
