India Hotels Company CEO is Corporate Hotelier of the World

The CEO and Managing Director of India Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), Raymond N Bickson, has been named as the 2007 Corporate Hotelier of the World by Hotels Magazine.

NEW DELHI: The CEO and Managing Director of India Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), Raymond N Bickson, has been named as the 2007 Corporate Hotelier of the World by Hotels Magazine.

The award is determined by votes cast by 62,000 readers in 170 countries. Bickson was presented the award yesterday in New York.

Bickson, whose hospitality career spans more than 30 years and four continents, joined Taj Hotels in 2003 to oversee all luxury property operations. In July 2003, he was named Managing Director and CEO of IHCL, a division of Tata Group, with responsibility for all Indian hotels management and operations, a statement said.

It said under his leadership, the group has seen rapid global expansion with new developments and acquisitions in key world markets, including Africa, Australia, Bhutan, Dubai, India, Maldives, Malaysia and the US.
