Impresario to open 20 restaurants across the country by FY15

NEW DELHI: Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality will open 20 restaurants across the country by the end of the next financial year as part of its expansion plans.

Out of these around 16 restaurants will be under the 'Smoke House Deli' brand, while others will be under the 'Mocha' brand.

"Our focus is on the metros like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. We are also looking at Chennai and Hyderabad. We will be opening 20 restaurants across India by end of next fiscal," Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality Pvt Ltd (IEHPL) CEO and Managing Director Riyaaz Amlani told PTI.

When asked about the investments, he said the Mumbai- based company would put in around Rs 30 crore.

"It will be a combination of internal accruals, debt and the funds we have received earlier," Amlani said.

The company had raised Rs 40 crore in 2011 from the Mirah Hospitality for a minority stake in the company.

"We believe that next few years are going to be very dynamic for the industry and we are taking steps to be the part of this process," he added.

Started in June 2001, IEHPL currently operates 34 restaurants across 10 cities under various brands out of which 22 are Mocha outlets.
