IHG inks deal for three Holiday Inn hotels in West Bengal

InterContinental Hotels group (IHG) will work with real estate company Jain Group to run three Holiday Inn hotels to West Bengal.

NEW DELHI: American hospitality major InterContinental Hotels group ( IHG) will work with real estate company Jain Group to run three Holiday Inn hotels to West Bengal. The three hotels will be in Kolkata, Siliguri and Durgapur are set to open by 2017. Holiday Inn Kolkata will have 150 rooms while the Durgapur property will have 100 rooms, and Holiday Inn Siliguri will have 80 keys and will cost the Jain group over Rs. 300 crores in developing the properties.

The Holiday Inn, Kolkata is expected to be operational by the end of 2014. There are currently eight Holiday Inn hotels in India in New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Goa. Having started out as an inn in Memphis Tennessee in the US, the brand has become a well-recognized name across the globe for comfortable stay and guest services.The hotels will add to IHG’s pipeline of Holiday Inn brand family hotels, which represent more than 85% of the company’s growth in India.
