Hotel Leelaventure, General Hotel Management agree to part ways

Hotel Leelaventure will amicable separate agreement with General Hotel Management (GHM), the company that has been operating and managing The Leela, Goa, since April, 2003.

NEW DELHI: Hotel Leelaventure on Wednesday said it has come to a mutually amicable separation agreement with General Hotel Management (GHM), the company that has been operating and managing The Leela, Goa, since April, 2003.

Once this agreement comes into effect from March, 2008, Hotel Leelaventure will operate and manage the 185 room and suite resort under their own management.

In view of the openings of new properties in Gurgaon and Udaipur and other expansion plans in the next few years, the hospitality chain has decided to regroup all properties under one marketing alliance with Kempinski, Hotel Leelaventure Vice Chairman and Managing Director Vivek Nair said in a statement.

The Leela, Palaces, Hotels and Resorts brand is supported by a marketing franchise agreement with Kempinski Hotels and Resorts. The hotel will be under the name of The Leela, Kempinski, Goa.

Hotel Leelaventure owns and operates The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts in Mumbai, Bangalore, Goa and in Kovalam (Kerala) with projects in Gurgaon, Udaipur, Chennai, New Delhi, Hyderabad and Pune in the pipeline.
