The hospitality sector in India is expected to touch $275 billion in the next 10 years, creating a need for trained management personals to offer international level of experiences to travellers.

BANGALORE: The hospitality sector in India is expected to touch $275 billion in the next 10 years, creating a need for trained management personals to offer international level of experiences to travellers.

In India, the sector is expected to rise to $275 billion in the next 10 years, which would trigger the need for educated management personnel to offer travellers experiences at the highest international standards of the hospitality industry, said Michael Huckaby, Vice President, Lureate Hospitality Education, Montreux, Switzerland

The domestic hospitality sector is expected to see investments of over $11 billion in the next two years within 40 international hotel brands making their presence in the country in the next few years, he said.

"As a result, both domestic and the international hospitality sectors will offer great career opportunities for Indian students", said Huckaby whose organistion runs two preimier management institutes.
