Government approves 79 applications for hotels through Public Service Delivery System

The Ministry of Tourism launched the PSDS in April. It is a web based system which enables applicants seeking approval for hotel projects and related services to track the progress.

NEW DELHI: The Tourism ministry has approved 79 applications seeking approval and classification of hotels through its Public Service Delivery System (PSDS).

Replying to a question in Rajya Sabha on Thursday, Tourism Minister K Chiranjeevi said 79 applications have been approved for hotel approval, classification or re-classification under 1 Star and above categories.

The Ministry of Tourism launched the PSDS in April. It is a web based system which enables applicants seeking approval for hotel projects and related services to track the progress of their applications online on a real time basis.

The Tourism ministry communicates the final decision on all such applications which are received complete in all aspects with 90 days of the receipt, the Rajya Sabha was informed.
