Cox & Kings subsidiary Meininger signs new hotel in Amsterdam

Meininger, a part of Cox and Kings, today said it has signed a long-term lease agreement for the Amsteltower hotel in Amsterdam.

MUMBAI: Meininger, a part of Cox and Kings, today said it has signed a long-term lease agreement for the Amsteltower hotel in Amsterdam.

Meininger is a subsidiary of the European education and leisure specialist activity travel group Holidaybreak, which was acquired by Cox and Kings in 2011.

The Amsteltower hotel near the Amstel station in Amsterdam, will have 165 rooms and 802 beds, going to be the second Meininger hotel in the city, Cox and Kings said in a release.

Meininger, currently operating 16 hotels in 10 European cities, is a hybrid concept of combining the service and comfort of a hotel with the nature of a hostel in strategic locations and is positioned for business travellers, individual guests, families, school trips and tour groups.

India-headquartered Cox and Kings operates across four continents and 25 countries.

In India, the travel company has 12 branch sales offices and 150 franchisee located across the country.
