Budget hotel chain Lords to expand to tier-II and III cities

NEW DELHI: Budget hotel player Lords Hotels & Resorts is expanding its footprint in India across tier II and III port towns. It will have five new properties in Dahej, Kandla, Rajula, Porbandar and Dwarkadhish. The hotel company has in its portfolio, both owned and managed hotels across Katra, Shirdi, Somnath and in Nepal near the Pashupatinath temple.

Lords owns nine out of the 24 properties under its fold. "We are looking at tier II and III cities since they have lot of unmet demand for branded hotels which can provide rooms at competitive rates," said Romesh Koul, director of the hospitality company.

He added that the company will add four properties in cities such as Agra,Jammu,Maduda(Karnatka) and Savli(Baroda) in the next one year.
