Bharat Hospitality launches five star hotel Lalit in Chandigarh

NEW DELHI: Bharat Hospitality group that owns the Lalit hotel chain has opened its doors in Chandigarh. The Lalit Chandigarh, a five star property with 179 keys was set up with an investment of Rs. 400 crore. The property is spread across four acres in Chandigarh's Rajiv Gandhi IT Park.

The property was first announced in 2012 along with another property in Kolkata which launched end of last year. The Lalit Great Eastern, Kolkata was a property the group acquired from the West Bengal government in 2005 and took a total renovation cost of approximately Rs 320 crore.

The Lalit Suri Hospitality group has with eleven operational properties and six under development. The Lalit brand also operates other properties in Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Bangalore, Srinagar, Udaipur, Khajuraho, Bekal and Jaipur.
