Berggruen Hotels plans 38 hotels in India

Berggruen Hotels has acquired 10 sites in India and is planning to acquire 20 more sites. The company plans a minimum 38 hotels in the next five years.

MUMBAI: Berggruen Hotels has acquired 10 sites in India and is planning to acquire 20 more sites. The company plans a minimum 38 hotels in the next five years.
The company had launched its brand of boutique budget hotels "Keys" in India in January. The first resort having capacity of 150 rooms will be launched in Goa in September in Candolim.
Berggruen Hotels is promoted by $100 million Berggruen Holdings Inc. It is also acquiring seven-and-a-half acres beach front property in Pondicherry where a 100 room resort will be developed. Keys is also expanding its presence in Bangalore.
