Ashmiholdings plans to launch hotels & motels in tier-II, III cities

NEW DELHI: Ashmiholdings, which manages the Bristol hotel in Gurgaon, is planning to launch hotels in the upscale, budget and motel categories in tier-II and III cities, with a target of 1,000 keys by 2022.

Its MD, Amit Modi, said hotels with aggregate 200 keys will come up in the next 12 months, with the first property expected at Katra by March. While the company will focus on places in the northeast, like Siliguri, Anand and Dehardun could also be on its map.

“Our key focus is Northeast and the company was formed with the objective of providing clean, hygienic accommodation to people traveling primarily to tier III, tier IV locations,” said Modi.
