Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels appoints Pranab Kumar Choudhury as Independent Director

Apeejay Surrendra Group, which owns and operates luxury boutique hotels under The Park Hotels brand, has appointed Pranab Kumar Choudhury - ex-chairman and CEO of ratings agency ICRA - as an independent director on the board of directors of Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels Limited.

With a professional experience of over 43 years, Choudhury has, prior to joining ICRA, worked in the manufacturing, commercial banking, development banking, and merchant banking sectors.

He is at present a director on the boards of Tata Capital Financial Services , The Peerless General Finance and Investment Company Limited and is chairman of Peerless Financial Services Limited and Peerless Securities Limited.

He has been an Independent Director of ONGC, ONGC Videsh, Neyveli Lignite, IRFC, IRCON and STC as well as Nominee Director in Kajaria Ceramics, Dabur and Bharati Telecom, etc.

Currently, the hotel chain has its properties in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Navi Mumbai, New Delhi and Visakhapatnam apart from new hotels under development in Kolkata, Pune , Jaipur, Wayanad and Corbett National Park.
