UK's Cardiff Metropolitan University partners with Universal Business School

'With this partnership, UBS will offer Cardiff Metropolitan Undergrad and Postgrad Business and Management programmes.'

MUMBAI: Cardiff Metropolitan University of UK has partnered with Universal Business School (UBS) at Karjat near Mumbai to launch UK Masters and Bachelor programmes in Business Management in India.

With this partnership, Universal Business School will offer Cardiff Metropolitan Undergraduate and Postgraduate Business and Management programmes to students, according to a joint statement. As the programmes are the same as those offered on-campus in Cardiff, UBS students will have the advantage of being able to transfer to on-campus study, should they wish to undertake part of their studies at the Cardiff campus, the statement said.

"This (the partnership) will provide opportunities for staff and student exchanges and will contribute to the internationalisation of the university and to the development of sustainable partnerships with high quality partners internationally," said Prof Antony Chapman, vice-chancellor of Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Speaking on the occasion, Gurdip Anand, chairman, UBS, said, "We are pleased with our strategic partnership with Cardiff Metropolitan University and the subsequent validation of our faculty, infrastructure and systems by a top ranked UK University."

Faculty from Cardiff Metropolitan will regularly visit UBS to hold training events, give guest lectures and meet staff and students. All programmes will be subject to the university's quality assurance processes with degrees awarded by Cardiff Metropolitan.

Cardiff Metropolitan University has one of the most diverse student representations from more than 140 countries.
