UK B-school launches 5 Rajiv Gandhi scholarships
Imperial College London, one of the top-ranking universities in the UK has just invested GBP 2 mn for scholarships for Indian MBA students.
LONDON: Imperial College London, one of the top-ranking universities in the UK has just invested GBP 2 mn for scholarships for Indian MBA students.
The College has launched 5 new Rajiv Gandhi scholarships, named after the former prime minister who was an alumnus of Imperial College.
The Tanaka Business school at Imperial College has also recently set up the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for innovation and entrepreneurship under a government to government scheme to promote transfer of educational expertise and knowledge between India and UK.
While full scholarships are rare in business schools, these will each be worth GBP 20,000 for the 1 year full time MBA programme, for candidates showing exceptional leadership and management skills.
Business School Principal, Professor David Begg, says that "both the UK and India can learn from each other, leveraging knowledge and best practice for our mutual benefit, and we look forward to enhancing the Indian presence in our MBA programme."
