UGC NET 2018: Results likely to be declared this week

The answer key of the exam held on July 8 and July 22 of Paper 2 at a centre in Allahabad was released recently and the last day to raising objections was July 27. A total of 11.48 lakh candidates took the eligibility test across 91 cities.
The CBSE conducts UGC NET on the behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC) to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of assistant professor in Indian universities and colleges as well as the Junior Research Fellowship.
It is also believed that from the next year onwards, the UGC-NET exam would be conducted by the newly-formed National Testing Agency (NTA).
This year also saw a few changes that were made for the NET exam. The cut-off age of candidates applying for the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) post has been revised to 30 years from 28 years. Earlier, candidates had to appear for three papers, this year they appeared only for two papers.
