Two new schools of architecture & planning to come up
Two new Schools of Planning and Architecture would come up in Bhopal and Vijayawada at a cost of over Rs 348 crore.
The approval was given at a meeting of the Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, which also decided that the two projects would be completed by 2012-13.
The Cabinet also decided to create four core posts of Director and Registrar for each of these institutes with immediate effect, Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office Prithviraj Chavan told reporters here.
The total cost for setting up the two schools would be Rs 348.50 crore, including a non-recurring expenditure of Rs 265.60 crore.
The institutes would integrate graduate, post-graduate, doctoral and post-doctoral education in architecture and town planning and foster research in these areas, he said.
