Trinity College ties up with language academy in Kochi

KOCHI: Trinity College London, an International examination board offering a unique range of qualifications in English language, drama, music and art activities, has tied up with a language Training Academy here for the prestigious TESOL certificate programme for teachers.

The aim of the TESOL programme (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages) is professional development of Indian graduate teachers.

This is an initial teaching training qualification to equip people with the basic skills and knowledge to take up a first post an an ESOL teacher.

The five week course, will have faculty drawn in from London, US, Egypt and local teachers, Julian Kenny, Director Teacher Development, Trinity College of London, told reporters here.
