TMI, NSDC form JV to train 5 lakh graduates

HR services provider Talent Management International and the National Skill Development Council have collaborated to create jobs for over five lakh employable graduates in the country over the next 10 years.

NEW DELHI: HR services provider Talent Management International (TMI) and the National Skill Development Council (NSDC) have collaborated to create jobs for over five lakh employable graduates in the country over the next 10 years. TMI Group will invest about 30 crore during this period, a senior official said in the capital on Thursday.


According to the joint venture, TMI's e2E (education to employability) Academy will provide training to graduates and diploma holders in areas such as sales, customer services, technical support, manufacturing and back-office operations, as per market requirements. About 1,800 students will be trained over the next few months, and another 15,000 by the end of 2012. The first batch of students is expected to start by April this year. About 900 assessment and training centres will be set up across the country over a period of next 10 years, to carry this sort of training forward.
