Three Gujarat institutes in fray for Social Entrepreneurship awards

AHMEDABAD: Three institutes based out of Gujarat are in fray for social entrepreneurship to be held in Mumbai later this month.

These finalists include Business Planning and Development Unit of Anand Agriculture University (AAU) in the incubator category, Axio Biosolutions for providing low cost health care solutions to the poor and Ajay Dixit, a faculty at Enterpreneurship Development Institute ( EDI). These three are among fifteen finalists across five categories.

Villgro, a Chennai-based social entrepreneurship organisation and think tank promoting entrepreneurship in rural areas is organising annual Villgro Awards to recognize and felicitate outstanding individuals, enterprises, and other stakeholders in the social entrepreneurship ecosystem for their contribution to effecting change by building and supporting impactful and sustainable businesses. It will be organized in Mumbai during April 17-18 as a part of Sankalp Unconvention Summit 2013.
