Technical education fair in Delhi

A three-day fair on technical education will be held in Delhi from May 29, bringing 150 academic institutions together.

NEW DELHI: Aiming at facilitating students keen on pursuing a career in the field of technology, a three-day fair on technical education will be held here from May 29, bringing 150 academic institutions under one roof.

'EduTech 2008' will also host seminars and presentations by CEOs and marketing heads of leading technology companies, career counselling and sessions on education abroad.

The fair, which will witness participation by about 150 institutions offering technical education from various parts of the country, other than industry leaders like Microsoft, is being organised by EFY media group, publishers of a number of magazines on IT and electronics.

"The students can avail of the facility of on-the-spot admissions in the fair. Our endevour is to ensure that maximum number of students and parents can visit the fair. So, the event has been timed within a week after declaration of class XII results of both the ICSE and CBSE boards," EFY group Managing Director Ramesh Chopra said.

To help students who want to seek educational loans, Punjab National Bank will conduct seminars during the expo.

EduTech 2008 is the third edition of the fair. Last year, about a hundred educational institutions participated in the expo, attracting some 50,000 visitors.
