Tata Power rolls out its third Tata Power Skill Development Institute

Tata Power, rolled out its third Tata Power Skill Development Institute (TPSDI), a Centre for Excellence for Power Plant Skills, at Maithon Power.

MUMBAI: Tata Power, rolled out its third Tata Power Skill Development Institute ( TPSDI), a Centre for Excellence for Power Plant Skills, at Maithon Power. The institute was inaugurated by Ashok Sethi, COO and executive director, Tata Power.

TPSDI – Maithon’s 10,000 sq.ft plus campus is situated adjacent to Maithon Power Limited, in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand with a training capacity of 100 people per day, said the statement by the firm.

“TPSDI Maithon provides the extensive space and infrastructure needed to conduct courses across the whole range of Electrical, Mechanical, and other skills. Considering the objective of building employable skills in the youth, TPSDI – Maithon also offers various other employability skills to meet local needs and address industry requirement,” it said.

“The objective of the institute is not merely training people but to enhance their skills and make them employable. TPSDI will be the frontrunner for skilling workers by adopting a structured course. Structured skill training of the kind provided by TPSDI will help reduce dissatisfaction and create safe workers,” Ashok Sethi, COO and ED, Tata Power, said.
