Tally India launches training programme for youth

Software company Tally (India) Pvt Ltd on Friday launched an accounting principals training programme.

CHANDIGARH: Software company Tally (India) Pvt Ltd on Friday launched an accounting principals training programme.

The programme 'Pragati - earn while you learn' would help the youth to get experience of entrepreneurial skills depending upon their career aspirations, Tally (India) Global Education and Traning Business Sales Head Aajay Alva told reporters.

"This programme, a pan-India initiative, will close on October 18, 2007," he said adding that through Pragati the company planned to reach out to a wide section of society, including students, homemakers, accounting professionals and entrepreneurs.

Students irrespective of their educational backgrounds could enroll either in the Tally Financial Accounting Programme or Tally Financial Accounting Certification, he said.

He said the company had deployed a field force of over 5,500 people for 45 days to forge collaboration with colleges across the country.

Presently, the company had collaborated with Delhi, Osmania, Bangalore and Tamil Nadu Universities. It is in the process of collaborating with the Himachal Pradesh University.

The fee of the programme is between Rs 5,200 to Rs 6,000 and it is a three-month module, he said.

Under this programme, special performance-based cash awards for meritorious students worth Rs 6,75,000 will also be offered, he said.
