Prof Mohanbir Sawhney to be part of IIMC's annual 'GuruSpeak'
IIM Calcutta Alumni Association will field global management guru, Prof Mohanbir Sawhney, at its annual 'GuruSpeak' event in mid-December. Sawhney will conduct a day's workshop here on December 12.

Kolkata: IIM Calcutta Alumni Association (IIMCAA) will field global management guru, Prof Mohanbir Sawhney, at its annual 'GuruSpeak' event in mid-December. Sawhney will conduct a day's workshop here on December 12.
"Guru Speak is the most major event of IIM Calcutta's Alumni Association. This will be the fifth such event. Every year, we bring along an Indian management pundit who has made a big impact abroad. This year, we have invited Prof Mohanbir Sawhney," said Mr Mrinmoy Roy, IIMCAA's chairman, Calcutta Chapter. Incidentally, Prof Sawhney is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta. Mr Roy was interacting with the media on Wednesday.
GuruSpeak 2009 expects a large presence of corporates, especially from Sector V, together with students and a mix of other delegates. The participation fee for corporates is tipped to be pegged at around Rs 10,000. Management students will, of course, need to cough up lesser fees.
Sawhney, a Kellogg business professor, advises some of the world's largest companies including names like Accenture, Adobe Systems, Boeing, Cisco Systems, Dell, DuPont, Ericsson, General Mills, Infosys, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft Foods, Microsoft, Motorola, MTV, Nissan Motors, SAP and Sony.
