Placement packages par excellence

The placement scenario of Pune’s management institutes is encouraging. At the Symbiosis Institute Of International Business 21per cent of the batch of 2004-06 were offered pre-placement interview (PPI) and 90 per cent of them converted PPI’s into pre placement offers (PPO).

At the Indira institutes in the FIB sector 245 students were placed, which forms the main chunk of placements. The second highest placement was in the MFG sector with 112 students, while 97 were placed in the services sector. However, only 14 were placed in the Pharma sector.

Last year, Wellingkar hosted participation from 129 companies. A total of 189 students were placed on Day 1. The highest salary given out to a student was Rs. 7.2 Lakh (domestic) and 17 Lakh (International).
