BENGALURU: With admissions to professional courses on in full swing, engineering colleges in the city are trying to outsmart each other in their claims in order to attract the best of brains from among the entrance test rank holders.

Large campuses, impressive buildings, state-of-theart labs are no longer the factors colleges are counting on to attract toppers. Colleges are fine-turning their focus areas in sync with the times to be ahead in the pack.
