PanIIT Alumni Global Conference 2012 dedicated to nation-building to be held in Kolkata
PanIIT has dedicated its 2012 global meet and conference to nation-building wherein the entire programme has been drawn up to identify various initiatives.
"The main objective of the Kolkata conference is to focus on an IIT-nation building compact. The IIT alumni acknowledge the contribution of the country to their education and growth and believe it is now their responsibility to give back to their country and professionally participate in nation-building activities," said mentor of the PanIIT Alumni Global Conference 2012 and ITC chairman YC Deveshwar at a press conference in Kolkata on Wednesday.
More than 3,000 IIT delegates are expected to congregate from across the world for this event scheduled to be held between December 7-9. This PanIIT conference will focus on the 'Resurgence of the East' with several chief ministers from India's eastern states agreeing to participate in this event.
This year's conference will host a technology exhibition with all IITs participating. Several Indian and multinational technology leaders will also exhibit their futuristic technologies.
