NMS and US' Fox School of Businees in collaboration
The National Management School (NMS) and the Fox School of Business and Management, Temple University, US, have entered into a collaboration under which visiting American students will get a ‘taste of India.’
The 13-week stint at NMS is a structured package that will include 200 classroom hours, where students would be taken for corporate visits and factory tours, NMS dean Sankaran Raghunathan told reporters here on Monday.
NMS will be the Fox School’s partner in India and will deliver the India component of the programme. In its international programme, students would get the choice of studying a semester in Paris, Philadelphia, Tokyo, Shanghai and Chennai for a global, real time management learning experience delivered through a network of partner schools.
US consul general Andrew T Simkin said "very few countries are as exciting as India." Over one lakh students have been pursuing higher education in the US, the highest figure in history, he said, adding the rate of growth of American students coming to India too had gone up, 19% on a year-on-year basis.
