NIIT launches BSIM curriculum

NIIT, leading global talent development corporation, today launched its new Business System and Information Management (BSIM) programme here as part of its flagship IT career programme.

CHENNAI: NIIT, leading global talent development corporation, today launched its new Business System and Information Management (BSIM) programme here as part of its flagship IT career programme - GNIIT.

The introduction of the new programme follows NIIT's partnership with global leader in business analytics software and sevices market, SAS Institute Inc.

Through the partnership, NIIT would offer specialised curriculum for training on BSIM to students and professionals across its educational centres, NIIT zonal head south B S Ganesh told reporters.

The two-year currriculum comprises of static core IT courses, disciplinary courses aligned to current and future technologies and elective courses, which provide an option to specialise in areas of individual interest, he added.

"No complex software applicaions, hardcore programming languages or mind-boggling coding procedures. Instead the course focuses on business processes and information management generated by these systesm", he said.

Ganesh said the programe would be offered at more than 100 centres across south India and the course fees was about Rs 1.2 lakh.
