National Knowledge Network to link over 1,300 institutions

VISAKHAPATNAM: Scientific Secretary and Principal Advisor to the Government of India, Professor SV Raghavan said here today that the National Knowledge Network (NKN) a multi-gigabit pan-India high-speed network backbone would link more than 1,300 institutions.

Delivering his convocation address at Andhra University here today, the backbone would enable scientists, researchers and students from different backgrounds as well as diverse geographies to work closely to advance human development.

He also said that climate change and nuclear energy are undergoing a sea change.
