Medical, engineering colleges to come up in UP

JAUNPUR: Uttar Pradesh government will set up two medical colleges and as many engineering colleges in the state shortly.

State minister for Higher Education, Rakesh Dhar Tripathi today said that Mahamaya Government Allopathic Medical College would come up at Ambedkarnagar, while Manyavar Kanshi Ram Government Medical College would be set up at Saharanpur.

Besides, two engineering colleges, one each in Azamgarh and Ambedkarnagar districts, and one polytechnic each in Chandauli, Gorakhpur, Mahamayanagar and Jyotiba Phule Nagar would also be set up soon.

Relaxation of rules for setting up medical, engineering and technical institutes was showing results, he noted.
