Marwadi University debuts at Rank 353 in QS Asia Rankings 2026, becomes Gujarat’s top private university

Marwadi University, one of Gujarat’s leading private institutions, has made its debut in the QS Asia University Rankings 2026, securing the 353rd position in its first appearance. This marks the highest debut rank ever achieved by an Indian private university and establishes Marwadi University as Gujarat’s No. 1 private university and among the top private universities in India. Featured in the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2026, it is also the youngest private university in Asia to make an entry into the list at Rank 353, highlighting its growing academic and global standing.

The QS Asia University Rankings, released annually by QS Quacquarelli Symonds, assess universities across Asia on parameters such as academic and employer reputation, research output, faculty-to-student ratio, and international diversity. The rankings aim to reflect the academic strengths and global engagement of higher education institutions in the region.

In the 2026 edition, Marwadi University earned a Top 100 position in Asia for Internationalisation and Faculty Quality, underscoring its focus on global collaboration, diverse student representation, and academic standards. Its inclusion in the QS Asia Rankings 2026 marks a major recognition for Gujarat’s higher education sector and reinforces Marwadi University’s growing reputation in the region.
