Manipal Global Education, Axis Bank roll out 'Young Bankers' program

Manipal Global Education Services in association with Axis Bank has launched 'Young Bankers' program.

BANGALORE: Manipal Global Education Services in association with Axis Bank has launched 'Young Bankers' program. Under the year-long program students will be trained on banking, management, etiquette and grooming, communication skills and soft skills. After one year students will be awarded with a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking Services and will be absorbed in Axis Bank.

"We are launching the Young Bankers Program with 120 participants from across India, providing career & growth opportunities to tier -II & tier-III towns," said Rajesh Dahiya, President & Head - Human Resources, Axis Bank in a statement.

The first nine months they will be paid a stipend of Rs 3000, the next three months they will draw Rs 12000 and as an Assistant Manager after a year a salary of Rs 3.5 lakh is guaranteed.

"Manipal Global Education Services has been successfully applying this Industry-Academia business model with other banks in India. We believe working relationships such as these will be truly beneficial to the industry, ensuring first-day-first-hour productivity," said S. Vaitheeswaran, Chief Operating Officer, Manipal Global Education Services in a statement.
