Lucknow medical universities a hub for Munnabhais; UP STF busts racket providing solved question papers
In October 2014, an FIR was registered against two KGMU teachers and other staff members for allegedly running an admission racket.
The university was forced to take action after a series of admission scams in which KGMU students were caught impersonating or acting as paper solvers in medical entrance examinations of Punjab, Delhi, Bihar, Maharashtra, Karnataka and West Bengal.
UP STF on Monday busted a 'Munna Bhai' racket providing solved question papers to candidates appearing for Combined Pre-Medical Test 2015. STF arrested 12 people, including three MBBS students and a BTech student, in Lucknow for allegedly conspiring to solve and leak the CPMT paper in collusion with the staff of some exam centres. The kingpin of the racket has been identified as Rashid, who operates from Bengaluru.
