LN Mittal to expand LNMIIT by Rs 35 crore
Steel tycoon Laxmi Niwal Mittal will expand 'Laxmi Niwas Mittal Institute of Information Technology' (LNMIIT) here with rupees around 35 crore.
Mittal during his trip to the state held meeting with Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot yesterday, and talked about his desire to invest in micro financing and solar power projects in the state, an official said.
Mittal told Gehlot that he wished to expand LNMIIT to the level of BITS Pilani hence the board of directors have decided to invest rupees around 35 crore in expansion plan.
He said new faculties and subject experts will be recruited and other facilities will be expanded soon.
LNMIIT is a deemed university located in Jamdoli area near here. It is a public-private partnership university set up jointly by the state government and Lakshmi and Usha Mittal foundation as an autonomous non-profit organisation.
