Kerala SSLC results 2021: Best performance in 6 years with 99.8% students passing
The state showed its best result in 6 years with as many as 99.8% of students clearing the exam. The Kannur district scored the highest pass percent at 99.85%, while the Waynad district recorded the lowest pass percentage of 98.13%.
The state showed its best result in 6 years with as many as 99.8% of students clearing the exam. A total of 4,19,651 students cleared the SSLC exam, said state Education Minister V Sivankutty.
The minister also said this was the first time the SSLC pass percentage crossed 99% in the state.
The Kannur district scored the highest pass percent at 99.85%, while the Waynad district recorded the lowest pass percentage of 98.13%.
Students of the Malappuram district outperformed their peers, recording the most number of students with A-plus in all subjects; as many as 1,21,318 students have scored A-plus.
Last year the pass percentage in Kerala was 98.8%. In 2019, it was at 97.84%, nearly 2% higher than that of 2018's 95.98%.
A total of 4,22,226 regular students and 990 private candidates appeared for the SSLC examinations conducted in April this year amid strict Covid-19 guidelines. A total of 12,791 teachers were involved in the evaluation the exams of over four lakh students.
The Minister also congratulated students who achieved remarkable success and the teachers who supported them despite the crisis caused by the pandemic.
