JEE Advanced Examination to be held on May 22, 2016
The date for JEE Advanced 2016 examination has been finalised as 22 May 2016. This time, additional 50,000 students will be able to sit for the JEE Advanced examination.
NEW DELHI: The date for JEE Advanced 2016 examination has been finalised as 22 May 2016. This time, additional 50,000 students will be able to sit for the JEE Advanced examination.
“Compared to 1.5 lakh students who got a chance to sit for the JEE Advanced, in 2016 top 2 lakh students will be selected from JEE Main to take the JEE Advanced examination,” KV Krishna, organising chairman of JEE Advanced 2016 told ET.
Apart from the intake of students for the JEE Advanced examination, all other eligibility criteria will remain same for 2016 examination. Those students who were admitted or have accepted seats in any of the IITs or ISM in 2015 will not be eligible to take the JEE Advanced 2016 examination.
“However, students who were admitted or have accepted the seats in any of the NITs/IIITs/government funded technical institutions through joint seat allocation authority 2015 are eligible for JEE Advanced 2016 as long as rest of the criteria are met,” Krishna said.
