The Livewel Aviation group, a leading provider of airport services in India and abroad with its presence in almost all top cities, is in the final stages of launching an MBA course in aviation.
"We are going to launch a degree programme in aviation with coming academic season in July next year. It's named as MBA programme in Aviation and we will have an intake of 300 students for the course," said M F Daver, Chairman and Managing Director of Livewel group.
"We have seen the need for more professional managerial skills required in this sector at world level and many airlines want to have people in their organisational structure," added M F Daver.
The group is at the final stage of talks with some premier management institutes of the country and has also applied for AICTE recognition.
"For India, we will have affiliation for our course from Bombay University and for foreign affiliation, we have approached Cambridge and Oxford Universities and their answers were positive," said Burzin Daver, CEO & Director, Livewel Aviation Services and Training Academy.
"We are going to conduct national level test for this course in two metro cities - Delhi and Mumbai. We will also launch the MBA in Aviation course at our proposed Dubai centre so that students from India can get better exposure," he added.
