ISB to provide training to Areva executives

Areva Group has chosen Indian School of Business, Hyderabad to provide training to its global executives through its specially designed programme in finance.

NEW DELHI: Areva T&D India, the Indian arm of transmission and distribution division of France based Areva Group, today said it has chosen Indian School of Business, Hyderabad to provide training to its global executives through its specially designed programme in finance.

Areva T&D Finance Institute has been conceptualised and implemented with the support of Areva University. The project aims to train 100 finance executives chosen on merit, a company release said.

Areva and Indian School of Business (ISB) have jointly designed the content of the programme focusing on fast growing markets such as India.

"This programme will give the participants a better understanding of T&D strategy and objectives," Areva T&D Global Chief Financial Officer Karim Vissandjee said.

Areva T&D posted a net profit of Rs 216 crore for the year ended December 31, 2007, against Rs 137 crore a year ago. Total income grew to Rs 2,024 crore during the year from Rs 1,621 crore in the previous fiscal.

ISB is a premier management institution established in 2001. It has academic associations with the Kellogg School of Management, The Wharton School and the London Business School.
