ING Vysya employees donates Rs 35 lakh to UNICEF

ING Vysya employees on Thursday donated Rs 35 lakh to the United Nations Children's Fund for providing primary education to 2,500 child workers in the Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri districts of Tamil Nadu.

NEW DELHI: ING Vysya employees on Thursday donated Rs 35 lakh to the United Nations Children's Fund for providing primary education to 2,500 child workers in the Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri districts of Tamil Nadu.

The cheque was handed over to UNICEF by Vaughn Richtor CEO of ING Vysya Bank and Frank Koster ING Vysya Life Insurance CEO, a company release said.

The funds were raised under an internal initiative called "Back to School".

The company aims to work with UNICEF to help educate 50,000 children in three countries including India.
