Industrialist, MP Rajkumar Dhoot demands IIT at Aurangabad
"Aurangabad is a fastest growing city and has all the necessary infrastructure. There is a need for a second IIT after the one in Mumbai," Dhoot said.
"It will be our endeavour to bring the IIT to Aurangabad. Aurangabad is a fastest growing city and has all the necessary infrastructure. There is a need for a second IIT after the one in Mumbai," Dhoot said here over the week-end.
There was enough land at Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University for the IIT, he said.
"The IIT campus can be set up in the university itself as there is a lot of land," Dhoot said.
Expressing disappointment over the big projects getting stalled due to protests, he said more industries should come to Maharashtra and there should be more investment.
