Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad sets up JSW School of Public Policy

The contribution will be more than Rs. 50 crores, and will be utilized for establishing and operating the JSW School of Public Policy, including infrastructure, research and teaching, faculty and staff salaries, JSW Steel said in a statement.
"Public Policy has received inadequate attention in our country, both by academics and practitioners. We feel that the vision of New India needs discourse and deeper understanding of this subject; the School of Public Policy will contribute immensely towards this cause," said JSW Group chairman Sajjan Jindal.
The School will integrate existing research, teaching, and engagement with policy makers and implementers, said Prof. Ashish Nanda, Director, IIMA. He added that the School will give them an opportunity to strengthen and develop each of these activities in the sphere of Public Policy.
