IIT re-opens GATE application process for J&K students

the GATE committee has decided to re-open the application process from 30th October to 8th November, 2019 for those who have been left out from J&K.

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has decided to re-open the application process for GATE 2020 for the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) aspirants. IIT Delhi is the organizing institute for GATE 2020. The window for receiving application was earlier open between September 03 to October 05, 2019. Also, a large number of candidates (9295) from J&K have already applied for GATE 2020.

"But as per emails and phone calls received from a few candidates regarding unavailability of internet connectivity, it seems that a few hundred aspirants of GATE 2020 in J&K might not have been able to apply," said a statement from IIT Delhi.

Keeping this in view, the GATE committee has decided to re-open the application process from 30th October to 8th November, 2019 for those who have been left out from J&K. "This is to facilitate them another chance of registration," said the statement.

GATE 2020 will be held on February 1st, 2nd, 8th and 9th.
