IIT Kharagpur plans tieup with University of California
Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur is looking at a collaboration with the University of California (UC), Berkeley, in the areas of biotechnology and biofuel.

KOLKATA: Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT-Kgp) is looking at a collaboration with the University of California (UC), Berkeley, in the areas of biotechnology and biofuel.
A team from the US university is expected to come down to IIT-Kgp in November to discuss details regarding the partnership.
Speaking to ET, IIT-Kgp deputy director M Chakraborty said, “We plan to do collaborative research, especially in areas like alternative energy sources. This will help in the initiative we have taken up by signing a MoA with the West Bengal government to provide technical advice in establishing a biotechnology park in Kharagpur.”
