IIMK to organise 5-day communication course from December 18

NEW DELHI: IIM Kozhikode (IIMK) will conduct a communication course on impersonal, interpersonal, and hyper personal communication at work from December 18 to 22, 2016 as part of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) sponsored Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN).

This course will cover the principles and practice of effective communication from analysing the communication context and dynamics of relational status to delivering ideas, according to IIMK release. Participants would be taught to identify their own stereotypes, prejudices, and communication behaviors that can create barriers to impersonal, interpersonal, and hyper personal relationships.

The course will be jointly taught by Anupam Das of IIMK, Richard Buttny of Syracuse University (USA), and Jodi Cohen of Cornell University (USA). According to a release issued by IIMK, people with high command over the English language and with a minimum of a PG degree are eligible to register.
