IIM(K) awaits fresh directive from HRD min

KOZHIKODE: The Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode is awaiting a fresh directive from the HRD Ministry to go ahead with the announcement of admission list for the coming academic year in view of Supreme Court declining to lift its stay on 27 per cent OBC reservation.
"We are awaiting a fresh communication from the Ministry and once we get that, we will go ahead with the (admission) process," an IIM(K) spokesman told the media here on Tuesday.
Asked if the apex court's rejection of Centre's plea to vacate its stay on 27 per cent reservation for OBCs in elite educational institutions would further delay the process, he said, "we are sure that the Government will convey its decision soon".
On April 20, the IIM(K) decided to keep in abeyance the admission process till yesterday following a directive from the HRD Ministry.
"We are awaiting a fresh communication from the Ministry and once we get that, we will go ahead with the (admission) process," an IIM(K) spokesman told the media here on Tuesday.
